Everything from a single source
From design through manufacturing and control cabinets to documentation — individually or everything from a single source.
CNC machining & contract manufacturing from A to Z
A drawing is only worth something once it becomes a part that fits first time — not after the third rework loop. VKE manufactures your prototype, one-off, special and series parts in-house: milled, turned, heat- and surface-treated, assembled on request. One drawing, one point of contact, one delivery date.
Machining that delivers
Send us your drawing or CAD data — we machine it into precise parts, from a single unit to full series, and take care of further processing on request.
Prototype to series
We manufacture prototype, one-off, special and small-series parts to your drawing or CAD file — flexible from batch size 1 to 500 parts, with no changeover delay from switching to a second supplier.
CAD/CAM-integrated
Our fully integrated CAD/CAM solution turns your design data directly into tool paths — short lead times, reproducible quality from the first batch to the last.
Modern machine fleet
Milling up to 400 × 1000 × 550 mm, turning Ø 10–250 mm with driven tools, plus sawing and drilling — machining from A to Z in-house.
24-hour express manufacturing
Under time pressure on your project? We manufacture urgent orders on an express basis — scheduled at short notice and delivered reliably, with no compromise on quality.
Mechanical design
The best design is of little use if it fails in your own production. At VKE, design and machining sit under one roof — every drawing that leaves our facility is already designed for manufacturability, with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the usual DIN/ISO standards in mind: 3D model, calculations, FEM simulation, standards-compliant documentation. For your machine, assembly or component, and can be commissioned on its own.
From idea to finished component
Describe your task to us — we design, calculate and, on request, manufacture the matching component straight away, from a single source instead of through two points of contact.
3D design
We design your individual parts and complex assemblies in 3D CAD — parametric and change-friendly, so later iterations do not become a new project.
2D drawings & bills of materials
You receive inspection-ready manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances and bills of materials — already documented with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC in mind, so the later CE assessment holds no surprises.
Calculations & FEM simulation
We design your components using strength and deformation calculations plus FEM analyses — safe, material-efficient and documented in a traceable way for your quality assurance.
Manufacturing optionally bundled
Unlike a pure design office, we can manufacture and assemble what we design straight away in-house on request — from the drawing to a real, inspected component.
Electrical design
A circuit diagram that only works on paper costs you weeks at commissioning. VKE plans your electrical design in EPLAN Electric P8, designs the safety technology to EN ISO 13849 and sizes the control system on the basis of Siemens TIA Portal — thought through down to the service hatch. Can be commissioned on its own; on request we also supply control cabinet manufacturing and installation from the same source.
Electrical planning & design
From circuit diagram planning to safety technology — we take on the complete electrical design of your project, consistently in a single toolset instead of across several system breaks.
Circuit & wiring diagrams in EPLAN
We create your circuit and wiring diagrams in EPLAN Electric P8 — including terminal, cable and equipment lists, audit-proof and consistently linked to your bill of materials.
Safety technology to EN ISO 13849
We design the safety-related control technology to EN ISO 13849 — emergency stop, guards and safety circuits with the performance level your application requires.
Control concept & PLC sizing
We select and size control hardware, PLC and I/O level on the basis of Siemens TIA Portal — a consistent platform for design, programming and later on-site service work.
Control cabinet manufacturing & installation optionally included
On request we build the control cabinets from your electrical design, wire and install them — with no friction losses at interfaces, because one and the same team plans and implements.
Control software engineering
Code that only its author understands is an operating risk. VKE programs your control and operator software on Siemens TIA Portal — structured, documented and maintainable for your own maintenance team, from the PLC through the HMI to cycle time optimisation. Including commissioning on the real machine, not just on the simulation model.
Control & operator software
PLC program, HMI, cycle time and multi-language support — we deliver the complete software for your machine, maintainable by your own maintenance team.
PLC & control programming
We program your machine control on Siemens TIA Portal — structured to recognised programming standards, maintainable and tailored exactly to your process sequences.
HMI & operator interfaces
We design intuitive operator interfaces (HMI) that clearly display the machine status and make operation simple even for newly trained staff.
Cycle time optimisation
We analyse and optimise your control sequences for shorter cycle times and higher output — measurable in output, not just in code.
Commissioning & ramp-up
We commission your software on the real machine, ramp it up and optimise it in the process — and do not leave you alone afterwards either.
Robot programming
Whether ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, Stäubli or a cobot — the choice of robot manufacturer is your decision, not our limitation. VKE programs and integrates industrial robots across manufacturers, from path planning to a ramped-up, cycle-time-optimised process.
Robots under control — across manufacturers
Whether loading, handling or machining: we program your robot precisely to your process, without you having to commit to one manufacturer in advance.
Across manufacturers
We program and integrate industrial robots from all common manufacturers for you — among others ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa and Stäubli, as well as cobots.
Path & process programming
We design motion paths and process sequences for short cycle times and repeatable results — every second saved counts in series production. Beforehand, we create robot simulations to verify paths, reachability and cycle time before the real machine exists.
Gripper, tool & vision integration
We integrate grippers, tools and machine vision systems into your robot sequence — from camera-based part detection for bin picking to signal exchange with the overarching machine control.
Commissioning & ramp-up
We set up your robot cell, ramp it up and optimise it on the real machine — until the process runs stably.
Control cabinet manufacturing
A control cabinet that fails at the first inspection report delays your entire commissioning. VKE builds and wires control cabinets, control desks and terminal boxes in-house — compliant with EN 61439, delivered ready to connect. On request, including matching electrical design from a single source.
Control cabinets & control desks from our own production
Whether to your circuit diagram or with design from us — you receive the fully wired, inspected cabinet, ready to install in your machine.
Control cabinets
We build and wire your control cabinets to the circuit diagram — cleanly, labelled and fully documented for your commissioning.
Control desks
We manufacture operator and control desks, ergonomically built and matched to your machine control.
Terminal boxes
We supply terminal boxes and distributors for the decentralised wiring of your machine.
Standards-compliant wiring
We wire to EN 61439 for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies — the basis for a safe, inspection-ready and CE-compliant control cabinet.
Installation
A machine that ran in our works has to run at your site too — from the first cable run to the calibrated sensor. VKE installs automated special-purpose machinery on your premises and takes on maintenance and repair during ongoing operation, so availability is never left to chance.
Professional on-site installation
We get your machine running — mechanically and electrically installed, wired and maintained for continuous operation.
Machine installation
We install and set up automated special-purpose machinery on your premises — scheduled to fit your production timeline.
Cable runs & wiring
We install cable runs and wire your measuring and testing equipment cleanly and with traceable documentation.
Sensors & actuators
We mount and connect sensors and actuators — the interface between control system and process.
Maintenance & repair
We take on maintenance and repair work that secures your machine’s availability — even after the initial commissioning.
Assembly
An assembly that “probably” works is a risk for your production. VKE assembles mechanical and pneumatic assemblies from individual parts into ready-to-install units — and tests every single one for function before it leaves our facility. Functional testing is not an add-on service for us, but the standard.
Assemblies, tested and assembled ready to install
We assemble your mechanics and pneumatics and test every assembly for function — you do not receive assemblies that “probably” work, but ones with proven functionality.
Assembly
We assemble complete assemblies from your individual parts — carefully, traceably and to your specification.
Mechanical assembly
We join components and parts into functional units — to drawing and with the correct tightening torque.
Pneumatic assemblies
We build up pneumatic assemblies and components, connect the tubing and wire them in.
Functional testing included
Every assembly we build is tested for function before it reaches your facility — at VKE this is not an add-on service, but a fixed part of every assembly job.
Fixtures
An off-the-shelf fixture rarely fits your component. VKE designs and manufactures measuring, test, assembly and clamping fixtures precisely matched to your process — right through to complete lifetime test rigs, for example for car steering wheels.
Fixtures for every task
Whether a measuring, test, assembly or clamping fixture: we design it precisely to fit your component and your process, instead of imposing a standard solution on you.
Lifetime & endurance tests
We build test rigs for endurance and lifetime tests for you — for example for car steering wheels.
Measuring fixtures
We manufacture fixtures for the reproducible measurement and inspection of your components — the basis for reliable inspection reports.
Test fixtures
We supply fixtures for fast, reliable testing in your production flow, without slowing down the cycle.
Clamping & assembly fixtures
We build clamping fixtures for milling operations and assembly fixtures for your series production.
CE documentation
Whoever signs the declaration of conformity carries the legal responsibility for the machine — that is not a formality. VKE takes on the complete path to it for you: walkthrough, risk assessment to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, operating instructions and, if desired, the signature itself. Can be commissioned on its own, also for existing machines and legacy installations without complete original documentation.
The path to CE conformity — entirely from a single source
We document, assess and sign — so your machine goes into operation with legal certainty, without you having to coordinate several service providers.
CE walkthroughs
We walk through and assess your existing machines and systems with regard to CE conformity — also for legacy installations without complete original documentation.
Risk assessments
We prepare systematic risk assessments to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC — the legally required basis for every safe and CE-compliant machine.
Operating instructions
We prepare standards-compliant operating and maintenance instructions for you — clear for your operating staff and complete for the documentation.
CE conformity through to the signature
We take on complete CE conformity for you — from the first risk assessment through to the signature on the declaration of conformity. You receive a legally secure, fully documented machine.
Process analysis & potential assessment
The most expensive wrong decision is automation that does not pay off in the end. That is why, before the first quote, we walk through your facility with you — workstation by workstation, feeder by feeder, right through to a complete new machine or shipping optimisation — and calculate the economics with our own ROI calculator, instead of just promising it.
The walkthrough that makes potential visible
We walk through your facility together with you and record every process step that can be improved — with no ready-made solution in our bag.
On-site walkthrough
In a structured walkthrough of your facility, we record every process step that can be improved together with you — whether workstation, feeder, individual machine, new machine or shipping.
Economics with the VKE ROI calculator
We evaluate the recorded potential economically — with our own ROI calculator, in which you compare investment, shift model and scrap rate for up to five workpieces before and after, directly.
Automation concept
We derive concrete automation approaches — matched to your volume, cycle time and budget.
Prioritised recommendation
From the walkthrough and the economic calculation we derive a clear, prioritised recommendation — which steps pay off first and what benefit they bring, specifically.
Service — so your machine keeps running
A machine only creates lasting value once it stays available. Beyond commissioning, VKE accompanies your machine through ongoing operation — with maintenance, spare parts, fast support and modernisation. One point of contact who built the machine and therefore knows it in detail.
Support across the entire life cycle
From plannable maintenance to a retrofit after many years of operation — the typical service offerings operators expect today.
Maintenance & upkeep
Plannable, preventive maintenance and inspections — so failures never occur in the first place instead of being fixed at great expense.
Spare & wear parts
Fast supply of spare and wear parts for the machine we built — short downtimes instead of long supply chains.
Remote support
Remote diagnostics, fault analysis and support with defined response times — we resolve many problems without anyone needing to travel to site.
Retrofit & modernisation
Control system and component upgrades, replacement of discontinued parts and performance improvements — instead of a new purchase, we extend your machine’s service life.
Training & induction
Induction and training for your operators and maintenance staff — so your team runs the machine safely and efficiently.
Maintenance contracts & support
We agree maintenance contracts with you individually — matched to your machine. Even without a contract, our customer support is available to you on working days from 8am to 4pm.
